YANNI TO RELEASE "SPEED DEMON" ON MAY 18, 2018
New York, NY (May 18, 2018) - Legendary performer and composer
Yanni has released "Speed Demon,"his first piece of new music since 2016.
Available today via all digital retailers, "Speed Demon" is another incredible example
of how the maestro perfectly composes anthemic, sports centered music.
With a history of placing songs effortlessly among the sports world including the
British Open, U.S. Open, Winter Olympics, World Ice SkatingChampionships
and more, it's no surprise that his first new composition in two years is an ode
to racing and is being released to coincide with the kick off of racing season.
Yanni also releases this new composition in the midst of his
"Yanni 25 - Live at The Acropolis Anniversary Concert Tour."
The tour, which kicked off in April, will keep him on the road through August,
hitting cities across North America including New York, Los Angeles,
New Orleans, Chicago, Toronto and more before wrapping on August 5 in Boston.
When asked about returning to the road in support of the 25th anniversary of his iconic
"Live at The Acropolis," Yanni declared "I find it so exciting to celebrate what I
consider to be one of the best performances of my life!" VIP and general tickets are
still available for all upcoming dates and can be found by visiting Yanni.com.
A deluxe package of completely remastered 5.1 sound and high definition video of
"Live at The Acropolis" will be released in 2018 to commemorate this anniversary.
Live at the Acropolis was released in 1994 and is the first ever live album
and concert video from the maestro. Recorded at the Herodes Atticus
Theatre in Athens with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra from London,
the concert took a year and a half to complete.
The album was mixed and produced by Yanni in his home studio
and was made into a TV special that aired in the States on PBS.
Live at the Acropolis became an incredible success and is the
best-selling live music video of all time.
